PREAMBLE

The magic for me today is the mastery of the tools of the waking dream, the opportunity to drive the viewer elsewhere, where reality fades during the time of a performance...

I do not pretend to convey a message other than that of the wonderful, bringing my audience inside a bubble where the impossible becomes simple and where poetry is expressed in the objects being manipulated.

Contact juggling is the medium through which I diffuse the emotion, backed by the powerful symbolism of the sphere, perfect and welcoming shape.

DESCRIPTION

One stormy night ...

Manipulator and magician, I witness the birth of crystal spheres and I accompany their amazing properties : levitation, weightlessness, teleportation, all these phenomena being illustrated by the manipulation of crystal balls and magic, an ode to the beauty and purity.

The discovery of this art form in 2006 sparked a new surge of creativity unlike anything I had experienced before. A world was being introduced, in which my knowledge of magic would be able to flourish within the exploration of an object, the sphere.

As a new development in my magician’s career, I would finally be able to witness of events triggered by these spheres, and not only be responsible for a magical effect.

A detachment from the action becomes possible, dramatically enhancing the impact of the proposed images.

What is contact juggling ?

Contact Juggling is a relatively new form of juggling where balls are rolled over the hands and body instead of tossing them in the air, staying in constant contact with the performer. Contact Juggling may blend dance, art, sleight of hand and even toss juggling to enhance a performance. Michael Moschen, creator of most modern contact juggling moves, used Dynamic Manipulation to describe his performance.
